Welcome to the

Shelnutt Fisher Astrological Formations

Website

We have provided this website as a central point of reference for all the work Linda G Shelnutt (Colorado USA) and Sally V Fisher (London, UK) have been doing on 130 "new" astrological formations that we have found in charts in the last 8 years.

Normally, such research work would be published as sufficient work was done on each of the formations to provide corroboration for our thoughts on their interpretation. However, the publication of a short piece in the Astrological Lodge of London's Astrological Quarterly journal produced such rapid results - in particular the inclusion of these formations in the updated Solar Fire astrological software - that we decided to make public the list of formations that we have identified, together with our "working list" of the families into which we have been grouping them.

We will, of course be adding more articles on the specific formations families in the future, so do keep checking in for updates.

Of course, other astrologers have been working on some of these forms, but so far as we are aware there are no astrologers who have been working on grouping the formations into "families" in the way that we have done. And some of the formations had been noted in passing by astrologers such as Michael R Meyer, in his book A Handbook for the Humanistic Astrologer (pub 1974), in which he noted the formation which we have called the Square Yod, and others Thor's Hammer, but stated that it would be so infrequent as to be not worth analysing! (see "A Family of Yods")

Please feel free to download these formations from the links below, and please let us know how you find these formations play in charts that you are working on. We - and the wider astrological community - need all the feedback we can get!
